Gainesville Regional Utilities  known as GRU, is a multi-service utility owned by the City of Gainesville. GRU is the 5th largest municipal electric utility in Florida. GRU serves approximately 90,000 retail and wholesale customers in Gainesville and surrounding areas, offering:  Electricity ~ Natural Gas ~ Water ~ Sewer~ Waste Water ~ Telecommunications.

 

Clay Electric Cooperative

Clay Electric Cooperative is an incorporated, member-owned, not-for-profit electric power supplier, democratically organized and controlled by those it serves.  The co-op is also a Touchstone Energy cooperative- a national alliance of local, member-owned electric cooperatives committed to high standards of service.  There are six district offices (Keystone Heights, Orange Park, Lake City, Gainesville, Salt Springs and Palatka).
