Fall Festivals for Gainesville area in 2015 ! love Fall Festivals!! So mark your calendars with all of these great events & THINGS TO DO in and around beautiful GAINESVILLE, FL. Here is a list of the WHEN, WHERE, and WHAT on most of them and put them in a blog post for easy reference!
So, Let’s get some “fall weather” and plan to attend all these great events in Gainesville, Alachua, High Springs, Williston, Micanopy, McIntosh, Cedar Key and more.
October 2nd, 2015 – Haile Plantation’s Oktoberfest –
Haile Village Center holds the Oktoberfest annually at the Haile Village Center. The shops and restaurants participate in the festival and open their doors for the night to welcome guests. There will be great food, live music, shopping, wine/beer, and games for the kids. The festivals hours will be from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Haile Village Information Site
October 3th, 2015 – the 27th Annual Central Florida Peanut Festival in Williston – A day filled with family fun, and over 90 vendor booths, live music, antique tractors.

October 10 & 11 , 2015 – THORNEBROOK ART FESTIVAL
The 31st Art Festival at Thornebrook is a two day festival of juried fine arts and fine crafts under the covered walkways and on the grassy areas and plaza of Thornebrook Village on NW 43rd St. Fine Arts, crafts, Food, Music, Entertainment.

October 17th & 18th, 2015 – The 46th Annual Seafood Festival in Cedar Key
This major event features well over 200 arts and crafts exhibits, and great local seafood in City Park. There will be live musical entertainment at several places around town during the days and nights, and a parade on Saturday morning.The festival offers fine food, entertainment, shopping and family fun and is supported by sponsorship from the Florida Department of Agriculture’s Fresh From Florida Seafood promotion program.
October 24th, 2015 – McIntosh’s Fall 1890’s Day Festival
This is the day residents in McIntosh look forward to every year. Residents will dress up and make the town look like it did in 1890. People come from miles around to experience this great festival in the small historic town. There will be arts and crafts booths, along with concessions stands, and entertainment. The festival will start at 8:00am and close at 5:00pm. McIntosh is located 20 miles south of Gainesville off of Hwy 441 RAIN OR SHINE !!! 8am to 5pm Rain or Shine!!

October 31st & November 1st 2015 –41st Annual Micanopy Fall Harvest Festival
This fall festival in Micanopy is this town’s biggest event! There will be live music, local art displays, a live auction, food, arts and crafts. The festival is held on the main street in Micanopy and will take place from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday and 9:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday. Micanopy is located 12 miles south of Gainesville off of Hwy 441.

November 8th, 2015 – The ALACHUA MAIN STREET FESTIVAL – Downtown Alachua
All along Main Street in Downtown City of Alachua, Exit 399 off I-75 (13 Miles North of Gainesville). SUNDAY 11AM — 5 PM: Twice a year since 2003, residents, visitors, and 200 vendors come together for a leisurely afternoon of music on two stages, lots of fun food, and many free child-friendly activities. November 14th & 15th, 2015 – 34th Annual Downtown Festival and Art Show
Presented by the City of Gainesville Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, this festival is expected to draw a crowd of over 100,000 people.
There will be over 20 food vendors, preforming arts, children’s arts, and culinary arts; as well as a variety of showcased artists that display their work. Dogs are permitted on leashes. Held in the streets of downtown Gainesville, the hours will be 10:00am – 5:00pm both days.
Parking in the City parking garage, 2 blocks west of Main Street , is $5.00 daily and open 24 hours a day.
November 21 & 22, 2015 – The 34th Annual Yankeetown Arts, Crafts & Seafood Festival
Held on the tree-lined boulevard of Riverside Drive in Yankeetown an old Florida coastal village on Floridas Nature Coast. Free admission and family fun. More info at Yankeetown Seafood Festival web site.
