2018 Fall Festivals for Gainesville FL Area
September is here and I always prepare our list of the 2018 Fall Festivals for the Gainesville area. Mark your calendars with all of these great events & THINGS TO DO in and around beautiful GAINESVILLE, FL. Here is a list of the WHEN, WHERE, and WHAT on each of these annual traditions.
Let’s hope we get some fall weather! Save this list and make plans to attend all these great events in Gainesville, Alachua, High Springs, Williston, Micanopy, McIntosh, Cedar Key and more.
October 6th, 2018 – the 30th Annual Central Florida Peanut Festival in Williston – A day filled with family fun, and over 90 vendor booths, live music, antique tractors.
Location: Heritage Park on Main Street in Williston 9:00 am to 4:00pm
October 19th through 27th, 2018 – ALACHUA COUNTY FAIR
Alachua County Fair is a family fun for everyone. An annual tradition at the Alachua County Fair grounds. Location is 3100 NE 39th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32609. Live Music, livestock shows, midway rides.
October 13th & 14th 2018 – THORNEBROOK ART FESTIVAL
The 33rd Art Festival at Thornebrook is a two day festival of juried fine arts and fine crafts under the covered walkways and on the grassy areas and plaza of Thornebrook Village on NW 43rd St. Fine Arts, crafts, Food, Music, Entertainment.

October 20th & 21st, 2018 – Cedar Key Seafood Festival
This major event features well over 200 arts and crafts exhibits, and great local seafood in City Park. There will be live musical entertainment at several places around town during the days and nights, and a parade on Saturday morning.The festival offers fine food, entertainment, shopping and family fun and is supported by sponsorship from the Florida Department of Agriculture’s Fresh From Florida Seafood promotion program.
October 20th, 2018 – McIntosh’s Fall 1890’s Day Festival
This is the day residents in McIntosh look forward to every year. Residents will dress up and make the town look like it did in 1890. People come from miles around to experience this great festival in the small historic town. There will be arts and crafts booths, along with concessions stands, and entertainment. The festival will start at 8:00am and close at 5:00pm. McIntosh is located 20 miles south of Gainesville off of Hwy 441 RAIN OR SHINE !!! 8am to 5pm Rain or Shine!! Info: www.friendsofmcintosh.org
October 27th & October 28th 2018 –44th Annual Micanopy Fall Harvest Festival
This fall festival in Micanopy is this town’s biggest event! There will be live music, local art displays, a live auction, food, arts and crafts. The festival is held on the main street in Micanopy and will take place from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday and 9:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday. Micanopy is located 12 miles south of Gainesville off of Hwy 441. Info: www.micanopyfallfestival.org
November 17 & 18, 2018 – The 37th Annual Yankeetown Arts, Crafts & Seafood Festival
Held on the tree-lined boulevard of Riverside Drive in Yankeetown an old Florida coastal village on Floridas Nature Coast. Free admission and family fun. More info at Yankeetown Seafood Festival web site.
December 1st and 2nd, 2018 – 36th Annual Downtown Festival and Art Show
Presented by the City of Gainesville Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, this festival is expected to draw a crowd of over 100,000 people.
There will be over 20 food vendors, preforming arts, children’s arts, and culinary arts; as well as a variety of showcased artists that display their work. Dogs are permitted on leashes. Held in the streets of downtown Gainesville, the hours will be 10:00am – 5:00pm both days. Parking in the City parking garage, 2 blocks west of Main Street , is $5.00 daily and open 24 hours a day.
