Christmas Lighting Traditions in Gainesville
Tis the season to be jolly! And this Friday brings us one of our Biggest Christmas Lighting Traditions. Make it a family event and the weather will be great. A crisp feel in the air and holiday music will kick off your holiday cheer. Christmas Lighting Traditions in Gainesville

The North Florida Regional Medical Center Duckpond lighting is Friday, December 2nd, starting at 5:30pm. There will be a “formal” flip of the switch to turn on the spectacular display at 6:10pm, and will be covered live on the TV 20 News broadcast.
Don’t forget that Santa will arrive too, and be here to talk to your little ones if they like!
There are over 50,000 lights, and the display changes every year. This is the 22nd year of the decorating of the Duckpond area. The displays are always beautiful, and all the lights are reflected off of the water. It’s a true Gainesville tradition!
Thank you North Florida Regional Medical Center for this Christmas Season treat every year.
My family enjoys it so very much.
