The Alachua County Friends of the Library FALL Book Sale is coming up, so mark your calendars! This is an annual fall tradition in beautiful Gainesville. This year’s fall book sale is scheduled for October 22nd through 26th.

The Friends of the Library organization serves the Alachua County Library District. The volunteers of all ages, accept donations year round and organize, sort, and arrange book in subject displays for the book sales. Lots of hard work is put into the semi-annual book sales. The proceeds made from the book sales is used for our county library support, scholarships for library staff, and county literacy projects.
Largest Book Sale of its kind in Florida – More than 500,000 books, records, games, CDs, DVDs, audio, video, paintings, posters, prints, puzzles and magazines have been donated for the sale!
And most prices are $0.25 to $4.00. Many categories, including:
- classical and modern fiction
- textbooks
- large-print books
- cookbooks
- hobby books
- Comic books and manga — available Saturday and Sunday. Look for them outside under the canopy next to the art tent.

Monday, Oct 24: Noon -7pm
Tuesday, Oct 25: Noon-7pm 1/2 price day
Wednesday, Oct 26: Noon-6pm 10 cent day
