2013 Spring Garden Festival at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens
It is Springtime in Gainesville! Mark Your Calendars for The 2013 Spring Garden Festival. It’s the local Spring fling-thing to do in Gainesville at the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens located in southwest Gainesville.
This is Gainesville’s premier horticultural event. And the theme for this year’s festival is “Passalong Plants,” representing the staple plants that are passed along from generations and between friends.
The Spring Garden Festival features about 200 booths offering plants, landscape displays, garden accessories, arts and crafts, educational exhibits and, of course, foods. And don’t miss the walk-through butterfly conservatory, children’s activities area, live entertainment and live auctions.
The children’s area is free with regular admission price. The children’s area will include a bounce house, face painting, arts and crafts, cookie walk, photo opportunities and a special guest appearance of the Chick-Fil A cow. The children’s area will continue the theme of “Passalong Plants” in our potted plant area. Children will plant a flowering plant complimentary of Hatchett Creek Nursery and Kanapaha will provide a sensitivity plant for each child to take home.
