Each month we will publish Gainesville’s real estate statistics. This data is compiled by Florida Realtors® Research & Statistics division and is available after the 23rd of each month. Our monthly market reports help us understand Gainesville’s market condition.
The chart below shows the number of NEW LISTINGS that came on the market for the month of December, the currently NEW PENDING SALES, and the CLOSED SALES for the month of January 2014. You will see that NEW LISTINGS has increase in January, and this is normal for after the holiday season. It is also normal for the # of closings to be down in January, but you will notice that PENDING sales are UP!
The Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors® provides their statistics to the Florida Realtors® each month and they compile statewide data that allows them to compile these reports. Our average sales price has increased! And our months supply of inventory has declined. Proof that our market is shifting to a balanced market.
