The chart below shows Gainesville’s NEW LISTINGS, PENDING SALES, and the CLOSED SALES for the month of February 2015 were UP from our previous month. This is a good indicator for February and our upcoming spring season. Our local market has strong indicators of a balanced market.
The Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors® provides their statistics to the Florida Realtors® each month and they compile statewide data that allows them to compile these reports. Closed sales show a increase of 8% for February compared to last year. Yet our months supply of inventory has declined 5%. Pending sales are also UP 15%.
This chart above provides a detailed breakdown of the Gainesville FL Real Estate Market for the February 2015. Our “Months Supply of Inventory” is down by 5.8%. The median sales prices and average sale prices are up compared to 2014. This is a nice market indicator for our Gainesville real estate market trend. Predictions indicate that we will have buyers facing multiple offer competition on some listings this season.
