Gainesville Florida Real Estate Market Report for Single Family Homes Sold in May 2016. Here you will find the recent three-month statistics for March, April and May 2016.
The chart below shows Gainesville’s NEW LISTINGS, PENDING SALES, and the CLOSED SALES for the last 3 Months. New Listings are slightly down this month to 392. Our PENDING contracts are down to 371, and I think this is an indicator of low inventory for homes under $ 250,000. Closed Sales are also UP to 304 for May. We are having a HOT summer real estate market!
The Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors® provides their statistics to the Florida Realtors® each month and they compile statewide data that allows them to compile these reports. Let’s look at stats for MAY 2016 compared to MAY 2015. Closed sales show an 3.8% increase from last year. Yet our months supply of inventory has declined 15.8%, and this shows a trend to our low inventory of homes for sale. The total Dollar Volume is up 10% from last year. Homes are moving faster.
