I spent some time today reading the 2013 Profile of Home Buyers and Home Sellers Report. This report is researched and compiled by the National Association of Realtors®.
The issues discussed in this report provide me with information that directly relates to my career in Gainesville Real Estate. Although the research was done nationwide, it is a useful tool regarding Gainesville’s real estate and my local business with buyers and sellers.
A local home buyer or home seller here in Gainesville, may not understand that my profession has a local association, a Florida Association, and a National Association. I am a member of all three. These professional associations provide a service & education. This helps me “serve” my clients with the best possible tools to achieve their goals in buying or selling a home in Gainesville.
I’m a firm believer a REAL ESTATE MARKET condition is LOCAL.
A metropolitan area like Orlando or Miami is very different from Gainesville’s market, in terms of median pricing on homes, the number of homes sold, number of homes for sale, or the time it takes to find or sell a home. Every real estate market statistic can be different from other areas because it’s based on LOCAL market conditions. Some cities can have a hot seller’s market, while another area has a hot buyer’s market.
But nationwide, a BUYER’S goals are the same – “find the right home”. And a SELLER’S goals are the same – “sell my home”.
That is what this PROFILE REPORT is about – the BUYERS and the SELLERS.
You’ll find some very interesting trends and good discussions in this report.
So if you are a BUYER or a SELLER in our Gainesville market, this report provides insights from the National Association of Realtors®. You share the same wants, needs, and goals of other people throughout the USA.
