My Year in Review – 2010
Here we are at the end of the year, 2010. We all like to review and analyze our business (not to mention our personal lives – but that’s a different blog post). The week between Christmas and New Years has always put me into a reorganization mode. Earlier this week, I ripped my kitchen storage areas apart and rearranged stuff. Technically, I am on vacation, but I just can’t sit still very long. So much to do, and not enough time.
I worked on my written goals for 2011 and that task alone makes me want to write about my year in review. It was a landmark year for my business, I reached the goals I had set last year. There were some very good things, and a few bad things too. This is life.
First and foremost, I would like to thank all of my newest clients during 2010. There were 35 wonderful families that either found their new home, or sold their home with me as their Realtor® this year. My clients are my business foundation. I sincerely appreciate them, their business, their trust, and they know I’m here if they need anything!
It’s been a buyers market, and I’m grateful to have served many buyers this year. It’s been a tough, competitive market for sellers. I’m glad that many of my sellers have been patient and positive throughout the year too. Our market will survive and prosper. Gainesville is a stable market, and a positive attitude is the best approach to any venture.
I’m very grateful for the REFERRALS from other Realtors® this year. Some have come through the RE/MAX International network, and some from the ActiveRain network. The term “networking” is a BIG key to my business now. I appreciate my networks and enjoy being an active participant.
I’ve seen and visited so many of my clients over the holidays, and they all ask “how’s the real estate business?” I am more than happy to tell them that “business is good, it’s been a great year”. Yes, we’ve all had to work 5 times harder than before – but hard work pays off in the long run. The learning curve expands, and it’s how we grow. In real estate, there is never a dull moment. And I love what I do.
I welcome the NEW YEAR with positive anticipation.
It will be a good year in 2011. I’m ready !!
