A quick story about my week. It’s been a very busy and productive week at work. No complaints at all!
I fully admit that I drag my rear end into my house when it’s almost dark most days. And when it’s almost dark outside, I sure don’t notice flowers or plants in the yard.
While sitting at the dinner table at tonight, something out in the backyard caught my eye…..and I even said out loud...what is that purple stuff out there by the bird bath?
Well, it was one of my poor pitiful Hydrangea bushes…..with huge blooms! I had moved it a couple of years ago and it never was very happy and hadn’t bloomed since I moved it.
Now this year, all of the hydrangeas in my yard are flushed with blooms. I had not even noticed until today. I am so happy to see all these bloomers!
It’s things like this that make me realize that I just need to get home before dusk and walk around my yard, and enjoy the summer blooms that grow in my yard.
Anyone reading this post will know that we all work so hard, and we all need to take more time to just relax and enjoy our home, our gardens, and the life we have built.
Hope you all have a great weekend.
