Downsizing for Christmas
I love the Christmas season. Don’t you? After a great Thanksgiving weekend, I started planning Christmas decorating. We all collect heirloom ornaments, so I need to get into all of my storage containers and do some sorting. I couldn’t seem to find a good spot for the huge tree in our living room. Downsizing for Christmas is my current project.
With my son in college and his work schedule at 30 hours a week, he sure isn’t home very much these days. This weekend we discussed our holiday plans. He suggested that we DOWNSIZE our Christmas. We discussed our budget and gift lists and then the major decision about “where” to put up our tree. We decided to find a smaller tree that will sit in the bay window of our living room – rather than occupy large floor space in our living room.
We will get it decorated tonight.
So, downsizing our tree is OK with us this year!
Now, I just need to get some live branches so we have the live Christmas tree smell in the room!
Ho Ho Ho!
