Happy Mothers Day
Sunday morning is normally a quiet, slower morning. My son Michael is a college student and he worked late last night, so he usually sleeps in. My alarm was not set to get up at any specific time, but Michael woke me up and said, “Mom, I need you to get up”. I was groggy and asked why. He said, it’s because I have a surprise for you. Happy Mothers Day
I get up, and squint to see what time it was. It was almost 7am. My brain is not working on all 8 cylinders first thing in the morning, so I wonder why he needs me up so early.
As I was walking down the hallway, I then could smell the aroma coming from the kitchen…. Warm & wonderful cinnamon rolls.
The kitchen table was set, with flowers too!
My wonderful son made me breakfast.
This was a wonderful Sunday morning surprise. It’s been a long time since we both had breakfast together too. He is my pride and joy. I love him with all of my heart. Thank you Michael.
I hope you have a Happy Mothers Day too.
